Dalcroze Workshop with Music Demonstration in a Heritage Building

Learn to Sense the Music Through Movement

Dalcroze Eurhythmics is a unique way to learn music developed by Swiss music educator Émile Jacques-Dalcroze (1865 – 1950) and is now widely used by schools in Europe, the United States and Japan. It advocates the learning of fundamental musical concepts, such as melody, rhythm and dynamics, through movement. Through a series of music and movement games in Dalcroze workshop, students learnt to respond to the music through moving, listening and singing, and were required to improvise.

Dalcroze Eurhythmics not only allows students to learn music, it can also improve coordination, sharpen the senses and boost creativity.

The workshop is followed by live music demonstration.
