Ensemble of emerging artists explores the influence of German music and architecture

This April, Musicus Soloists Hong Kong (MSHK) artistic director Trey Lee will lead the ensemble on their first international tour and Germany debut. Three “Bauhaus @Hong Kong” concerts take these emerging artists to meet international audiences in unique venues in Weimar and Berlin, Germany. They will collaborate with acclaimed German musicians – including guest concertmaster and artistic director Florian Donderer (first violinist of the Signum Quartet), Konstantin Pfiz (former principal cellist of Mahler Chamber Orchestra) and more – to trace musical and Bauhaus design connections between Germany and Hong Kong.

Before the performances, Trey Lee also joins a talk about the influence of the Bauhaus seen in Hong Kong architecture with architect and President of Bauhaus University Weimar Peter Benz, who had held teaching and directorial positions in Hong Kong, as moderator.
