Performances from Prizewinning Rising Stars

This year Musicus Society is proud to mark a decade of committed support for young Hong Kong musicians embarking on professional careers.

In this showcase, six Young Artist Audition prizewinners, Matthew Chin, Cherry Yeung, Victor Lee, Nina Wong, Wong Wai-yuen and Brian Choi, will display their virtuosic capabilities in some of the most challenging repertoire by Waxman, Ysaÿe, Bottesini, Saint-Saëns, Ravel and Wieniawski respectively.

Prestigious international competitions in which these highly accomplished musicians have taken prizes include: the New York International Artists Violin Competition; the Internationale Anton Rubinstein Wettbewerb; the Steinway & Sons International Youth Piano Competition; the Maggini International Double Bass Competition; the Hudson Valley Philharmonic String Competition; and the Shanghai Conservatory’s International Chamber Music Festival Competition. This rare opportunity to hear them all in a single evening ought not to be missed!
