Jockey Club Musicus Heritage Alive Concert at Po Leung Kuk

Chamber Music Comes To 66 Leighton Road

Po Leung Kuk, with its mission to “Protect the young and the innocent” and a longstanding involvement in education, has served Hong Kong well since 1878. Musicus Society shares its commitment to the development of youthful talent, and is proud to perform in its historic home.

Prizewinners of Musicus’ Young Artist Audition and veteran Hong Kong musicians will be joining Artistic Director and cellist Trey Lee in the Main Building of this important heritage site, performing chamber works by Boccherini, Puccini, Rossini and Piazzolla. Inspired by the role of this institution, Jeff Leung’s specially commissioned work, 66 Leighton Road, contrasts the darkness of 19th century Hong Kong with Po Leung Kuk’s compassionate charity.

This eclectic concert program and a post-concert guided tour offer a perfect choice for a relaxing Sunday afternoon.
