Known for its restorative attributes, music soothes, stimulates and invigorates the way only an elixir can. In the upcoming Heritage Concert, Musicus Society invites you to sample a unique concoction at The Hong Kong Museum of Medical Sciences (formerly the Old Pathological Institute), where cures and vaccines used to be developed to combat epidemic outbreaks in Hong Kong during the last century.

Artistic Director and world-renowned cellist Trey Lee and critically acclaimed violinist Alexander Sitkovetsky will be performing the unaccompanied works of Bach on their respective instruments. The two will also present Kodály’s Duo for Violin and Cello, a work conceived around the same time the Museum was built. Inspired by this heritage site, two new commissioned works by 2018 Call for Scores winners, Virginia Wan and Tsang Lok-yan, will be premiered. Versatile yangqin player Pan Ya-sze will join the violin and cello respectively, in a synthesis of styles between East and West. Be ready to immerse yourself and replenish your whole being with exquisite music!
