Yeung Ching-ho

Yeung Ching-ho is a second year student music student at the University of Hong Kong. Yeung has been learning Guzheng since 2004. She started her Guzheng training under Chin King, and is currently under the guidance of Dr. Xu Lingzi of the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts. She passed the Diploma examinations of both the Central Conservatory of Music and the Shanghai Conservatory of Music with distinction. She is recently featured as one of the finalists in Young Music Makers 2017 of RTHK 4.

A frequent winner of, Yeung was the champion of Intermediate, Senior and Advanced levels of Zheng solo competitions in the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival. She was awarded first place in the 6th Hong Kong Students Open Music Competition and she received the silver medal in The First International Zheng Contest’s B amateur group.

Besides performing as a soloist, Yeung has been a member of various Chinese orchestras since 2006, namely Children’s Chinese Orchestra, Island Youth Chinese Orchestra, Hong Kong Youth Chinese Orchestra and Chinese Orchestra of HKUSU, of which she is the Chairperson in Session 2016-2017.
