Wong Chi-chung

Wong Chi-chung studied Chinese Hu-qin performance and western orchestral conducting with Tong Leung-tak and Yip Wing-sie respectively. He received the Advanced Diploma, Professional Diploma, B.A. and M.A. degrees from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is now a part-time lecturer at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and the Chu Hai College of Higher Education.

Wong is an active performer in Hong Kong. He has participated in many local performances and recordings including the “Local Composers’ Works Concert” and the “International Contemporary Music Festival – Musicarama”. He was also invited by RTHK to give solo recitals.

Wong joined the Chinese Music Virtuosi in 1997 and participated in numerous concerts presented by the Hong Kong Arts Festival, Le French May, Musicus Fest and Hong Kong Composers’ Guild. Wong has also performed overseas, appearing in Italy, France, Australia, USA and Poland.
