German pianist Oliver Triendl has gained a reputation as one of the most versatile players of his instrument. He is especially interested in rarely performed repertoire from the Classical and Romantic periods and has a commitment to contemporary works. Triendl features on more than 80 recordings and has given concerts at all major music venues in Europe, North and South America, Asia, South Africa and Russia.
As a soloist, Triendl has performed with such celebrated orchestras as the Bamberg and Munich Symphonies, NDR Radio Philharmonic, Munich Philharmonic, Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, Mozarteum Orchestra of Salzburg and the St. Petersburg Camerata. He has played chamber music with numerous eminent musicians, including Ana Chumachenko, Lorin Maazel, Hagai Shaham and Christian Tetzlaff. In 2006, Triendl founded the Fürstensaal Classix International Chamber Music Festival in Kempten in Bavaria’s Allgäu region.
