Oliver Triendl


German pianist Triendl has gained a reputation as one of the most versatile players of his instrument. He is especially interested in rarely performed repertoire from the Classical and Romantic periods and has a commitment to contemporary works. Triendl is featured on more than 80 recordings and has given concerts at all major music venues in Europe, North and South America, Asia, South Africa and Russia.

A native of Mallersdorf (Bavaria), Triendl was winner of several national and international competitions. He is a student of Rainer Fuchs, Karl-Heinz Diehl, Eckart Besch, Gerhard Oppitz and Oleg Maisenberg.

As a soloist, Triendl has performed with such celebrated orchestras as the Bamberg and Munich Symphonies, NDR Radio Philharmonic, Munich Philharmonic, Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, Mozarteum Orchestra of Salzburg, St. Petersburg Camerata, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra and the Zagreb Soloists. As a passionate chamber musician, he has collaborated with musicians such as Lorin Maazel, Ana Chumachenko, David Geringas, Ilya Gringolts, Christian Tetzlaff, Antje Weithaas, Pekka Kuusisto, Baiba Skride, François Leleux, Sharon Kam, Paul Meyer, Sabine and Wolfgang Meyer, Radovan Vlatković, Carolin and Jörg Widmann, as well as the Auryn, Carmina, Keller, Leipzig, Pražák, Sine Nomine and Vogler quartets, to name just a few.

In 2006, Triendl founded the Fürstensaal Classix International Chamber Music Festival in Kempten in Bavaria’s Allgäu region.
