Sampling Tea

  • Composer Willis Wong
  • Violin, Viola, Pipa

Chinese tea has a long history of many centuries. There are many types of tea, like Narcissus, Tieh-Kuan-Yin, Jasmine, Pu-er tea, and so forth. There is a lot of of knowledge in sampling tea, and it calms one’s mind and heals one’s heart. In this modern society, people are always surrounded by work and problems. Our hearts and minds are easily interrupted and burnt out, and consequently people get stressed. Sampling tea can help us stay calm, relax, focus and releases us from pressure. By imitating the process of sampling tea to describe the heart in finding calm and peace from anxiety and pressure, the composer wishes to relieve the stress of the audience and heal their hearts while listening to his music.
